Badges
What the badges mean
Each reel tile gets a small badge in its top-left corner. The number is the reel's Wise Score: its views ÷ the creator's usual views. A T means a transcript is ready, and opening it is free.
- 🚀 12×Legendary: 10 times the usual views or more.
- Viral: 5 times or more.
- ⚡ 3.4×Hot: 3 times or more.
- ↑ 1.7×Above usual: 1.5 times or more.
- 0.8×Normal for this creator.
- est. 2.1×A quick estimate while the real score is worked out.
No badge means the reel isn't scored yet (the creator needs at least 10 dated reels) or the creator opted out.
Side panel
Click a badge for the full story
Clicking a badge opens that reel in Chrome's side panel. Clicking anywhere else on the tile opens the reel on Instagram as usual.

Scanning
Scan a profile for the full report
In the side panel, pick how many reels and how far back, then press Scan. The extension reads the creator's reels at a human pace, pauses if you switch tabs, and stops by itself if Instagram asks it to slow down.
Only one scan runs at a time, and each Instagram account has a daily cap. When it's done, the creator report opens in the app.
Privacy
What it reads, and what it never touches

Works only on
instagram.com/<handle>/reels/. - Reads only the public Reels data Instagram already loaded on that page.
- Never reads your DMs, contacts, cookies, feed or stories.
- Never posts, likes, follows or asks for your Instagram password.
- A device key stays in your browser; we store only its public half.
- Your own Instagram account id is stored only as a one-way hash, for the daily safety cap.

The extension asks for the minimum Chrome needs to do its one job: show which Instagram Reels outperform a creator's usual views.
Read and change data on www.instagram.com
To read the Reels data Instagram already loaded on a Reels tab, and to draw small badges on reel tiles. It is switched off on every other Instagram page.
Communicate with api.viralwise.app
To send the public reel data it read and fetch scores and transcripts for your account.
Storage
To keep your settings and the device key that connects this browser to your account.

To show transcripts and insights next to Instagram instead of inside its page.

Install
Add ViralWise to Chrome.

Click the ViralWise icon, then Connect. Approve with Google and check the code matches.

Open a Reels tab
Go to any creator's profile on instagram.com and click Reels.
